Dan Roberts

Dan has more than 25 years’ experience in Intellectual Property law and more than 18 years in patent preparation and prosecution. Dan is registered to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office as well as the Colorado and Arizona bars. With a strong background in computer science, mechanical engineering and project management, Dan is well positioned to embrace a wide range of technologies.

Having drafted and prosecuted hundreds of patents in the mechanical, computer, electrical and optical arts, Dan has particular expertise in thin film and semiconductor technologies; roll-to-roll and other lithography processing technology; Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS); computer hardware and software; Internet and network-related technologies; peripheral device hardware and software; medical devices and diagnostic systems; signal processing components; business methods; manufacturing systems; and an extensive array of mechanical devices.

With previous roles as general counsel and staff engineer with CenterGate Research Group, a think tank in Phoenix, Arizona, as well as formerly being Of Counsel and Partner with two different major firms in Denver, Colorado, Dan is well versed in the values and concerns of clients large and small and is able to appreciate viewpoints from both in-house and law firm perspectives.
